BASEBALL GAME !!!

Saturday 30^th of August

 

Big sleep until 9h30, then I played with Lucy and then everybody went to Gavin football game, but I stayed at home. I did some homework and when they came back we ate lunch, I played football with Mason and around 2pm I left to Stephanie's house (CHI coordinator) because it's CHI day !!! When we arrived in Aubun (where Stephanie lives) I met Laura from Spain and Laureen from Germany (the other CHI exchange students from CHI. They don't speak a lot but they are really nice. I also met Stephanie's sister and son. We left to Fort Wayne. In the car we all talked about what we liked in the US, what was weird, who was nice... It was really cool to ear what this other exchange students felt about the same experience !

Then we arrived in the SKYZONE. It's like a big gymnasium with trampolines everywhere, on the floor, on the walls... We jumped and after 2 minutes we already were tired ! Jumping is exhausting ! We also played basketball (where we can do dunks) and a game, I don't know the name, but we are 2 teams, we have balls and we have to touch the other team... all in trampolines! It's really funny ! Then we left to Glenbrook mall to do shopping !!! I think I went shopping each week since I arrived ! But before going to the mall, we went to Dick's, a sport store, because I had to change the shoes I bought last week. They are too small ! I toke the size 8 (38) and I needed 9 (40). I even saved 10$ by the exchange ! When we finished this, we finally went to Glenbrook. We were really hungry of have jumped so the first thing we did was to eat. In the center of the mall there is like a square with at least 10 different fastfoods or restaurants so each went where he wanted. I went for the first time to subway. It's really good and really inexpensive ! I payed 6$ for a sandwich with 100 things inside!
Then Tessje really wanted go on the tiger in the carousel so we had to wait her. When she finished, we separated like that everybody was able to go where he wanted. With Tessje we first went to JcPenny, a dresses shop, because Tessje wanted to find a homecoming dress. She didn't buy anything because all the dresses were very expensive, from 70 to 100$. But we had a lot of fun trying them !

Then we went to Maurices and to Claire's. We also went to Payless, a shoes store very cheap, where I bought some red high heel shoes for 10$ ! After that I joined Stephanie because I needed to buy a phone. Next to the phone store, there were some massage chairs so we tried them and .. it's amazing ! It's really like if someone massed me ! I tried to reactivate Juliette's old Iphone but it didn't work. Teri mom also gave me an extra Iphone she had, so I tried this one and it worked ! I finally have a phone ! And I was able to send my first american-text-message ! Now I'm really an american teenager !

It was around 6pm and I realized that   

I'M HERE FOR 1 MONTH !!!

The time passed so fast and in the same time I feel like if I've been here forever. I think it's good !
At 8pm we left the mall and we went to a ice cream store. You can take how many ice cream you want and add a lot of things, you only pay for the height. I toke 2 different ice cream, some candys, some chocolate sauce... All for 3$ ! It's so inexpensive !!!

Before going back, we went to Walmart because Tessje never went. We bought some practical things but the fun part was when I did a race in a cart with Tessje. She pushed the cart and I was inside and we run through Walmart like this ! I met a girl who's in my class and she looked at me like if I was crazy (what's probably right). I also met another girl, abby, who's in my government class. We talked a little bit, she's really nice ! I love her !

It was kind of weird to meet 2 people of my class in a Walmart lost in the country a saturday night at 11pm !

Then we all were tired so we came back home. Before sleeping I watched a football game on the TV.

 Friday 29^th of August

 

I played with the kids before going to schoool, then in the spanish class we finished the movie “the Alamo”(not really happy, a lot of blood and dead people) and I had 2 tests in English class, 1 in chemistry class and a movie in government. I also had to go to the nurse because of an accident at lunch : Kendall pushed Gavin who pushed me and I hit the corner of the table... I didn't really hurt but I just don't want to slide on it during volleyball so... I learned that our team won yesterday.. It's so cool !

The only problem was that the coach thought we were going to play good today too and we didn't really...

So we had to do “la chaise” (I don't know the english word for this exercise) during 2 minutes and other very “funny” exercises.

I was really tired but when we came back home I had like 10 minutes to have a shower and then I had to leave to my tonight plan. I went with Maggie, Nicole (Sydney's friends) and Orshie (an other exchange student from Hungary) to Downtown in Fort Wayne. We went to another mall, Jefferson Pointe, an outside mall. In the first shop we went, I find a gorgeous black dress for only 19$ ! I think i'm gonna use it for homecoming. They also find me another name (because they all found new names for the others) so I'm Victoria Vamazing !Then we went to victoria secret and Charming Charlie (an amazing store for accessories). When we went out, a band was playing in front of the stores and it was really good so we stayed a little while to listen it. After that, we were really hungry so we decided to go to a Brazilian restaurant.

We had to wait a bit because there were a lot of people and during this time we toke selfies..

When we could seat, we commended some tropical juices and some Brazilian meals. 

We decided to share with Maggie and we were right: when our nachos meal arrrived we saw that it really was HUGE ! We could't finish it even if we were two..and it was really inexpensive.. 3.78$ for half of a huge and delicious portion ! 

 

We also talked with Bruno (Brazilian exchange student) by messages and we sent him a picture of our meals and he said that no one was brazilian ! We also made him believe that Orshie was in love with him (which was really funny) and he was so confused !

We were just so full that we decided to come back home. In the car, we put the music very loud and danced like crazy people, we opened the windows and did strange things we our arms... It was just a perfect moment !

 Thursday 28^th of August

 

I only write that on saturday because I didn't have time before so I'll very probably forget some things (sorry)... So I remember continue the movie in Spanish class, continue my giraffe in art class and a test in government. In enlgish class we had to do a comic about pocahontas. But it's not really interesting things to talk about. The best moment of the day was after... The volleyball team had a game the night but I didn't go because I went to … A BASEBALL GAME !!! Before that, I came back home and I played with the kids and at 6.30 pm we left for Fort Wayne. During the 1 hour that the route was, we sang, danced... it was rather funny ! When we arrived, we left the car in one of these huge outside parkings. We walked a little bit and then... I saw the baseball field !

 It's amazing ! I felt just so happy, it really was like an american movie ! We were in a private spot with all the Fritch family, with food and a beautiful view on the field. 

The 2 teams playing were Tincaps agaist Detroit (I'm not sure for this one). We were for Tincaps Delaney told me.The game began...and it wasn't really what I expected ! I mean, it's an amazing sport, but I find that only 2 people are really working (the batter and the men who throw the ball).The other are just waiting and running 2 meters every 10 minutes ! But maybe it's because I don't really know the game that I think that..

At the middle of the game, we toke a walk with Delaney and we found Johnny (the Tincaps mascot) and the result is.. I have a picture with him ! I also picked on Teri mom because she had her big camera and she toke pictures all the time. I told her she was like a Japanese mom !

And the Tincaps won ! It was one of the last game of the season so to celebrate that, there were fireworks ! 

It was a magic moment, shared with my american family.

We all were very tired because it was an exhausting day and because the game finished around midnight. A really good day !

Wednesday 27^th of August

 

I missed my jeans so bad ! I was really happy to wore them ! In spanish we began a movie, and during art I had to go to see the councellor: she had to give me a test for exchange students. Even for me it was really easy ! I just had to answer questions like : “which color is the shirt: yellow or green?”. So I did it pretty good I think ! Then during ressource all the juniors had to meet in the auditorium because we have to sell magazines. We have a catalogue with about 200 magazines and we have to sell the maximum.. With the money, we're going to pay for the prom expenses and for the senior graduation. I think I'll just buy one to myself !

In government we saw a video about a little boy playing banjo and in chemistry we did another lab. During practice we played like if it was a real game and I played all the time ! The coach even did a special exercices to make me train my future position. We also learned that we're going to sell t-shirts to earn money to give to an association for the cancer research.

After practice, we had to do... Ice bucket challenge ! (again) In fact the soccer team nominated all the volleyball team so the 20 girls had to do it ! It was really funny and also really cold ! (like 10 times more than we I did mine !) At home I sold my first 4 t-shirts and I cried for the first time... but not because I was sad, because I was laughing too much ! I was walking in the house, everything was dark so I made light with my phone (scary atmosphere) and Delaney just appeared in front of me. It scared me so bad ! I just jumped and then we began to laugh... during 5 minutes !

I also tried to teach her spanish because she's learning online but it's really bad.

Tuesday 26^th of August

 

This morning I met 3 other kids that Teri mom will have to care: Cameron, Johnny and Lilly. And today... I also have to wear a skirt or dress.. I don't like wear that but we have to for volleyball so.. Let's go for a skirt ! During ressource, we went outside and we played different games, frisbee, soccer, and other that I don't know the names.

I had the most boring class ever... I almost slept in english! Everybody was just so tired ! And I didn't understand anything about the story (it's old english).

We did a fun lab in chemistry with M&M's. We didn't have a volleyball practice because today is our first game ! I'm exited and a little bit scared too. During waiting for the bus, we were to the coach's class (she's also teacher), we played just dance and we watched babies videos. Very funny. After that, we took the bus to Woodlan, the school we're going to play against. The JV team (junio varsity, me) began. I didn't play first, I needed to watch to placements. We lost the first period. At the middle of the second period, Paige (coach) put me in the game. I was just so stress ! I almost cried ! I didn't play very well but for a first high school sport game, I was happy. Then we watched the varsity game. They are really good ! I hope to be one day like them ! I disscussed with the other girls, we laughted.. I really spent a good evening. Then Teri mom was here to give all the players something to eat in the bus. So we came back and at home I quickly did all I had to do to go sleep !

Monday 25^th of August

First school day for my suiss friends ! Good luck to everybody ! For my school day, I just finished my giraffe, I had a A in math and a B in english.

I play in the “real team” during all volleyball practice. Teri mom wasn't here to dinner so I just ate with Delaney. Then we listened to Disney's musics and we went to bed.

J'ai pas pu marquer ça hier parce que j'avais dejà posté sur mon blog la journée de dimanche mais je sois maintenant rajouté ça: Après manger et être toutes propres, Delaney a voulu me montrer a quoi ressemblait une homecoming dress sur internet et résultat... On a passé 2h30 dans le noir à chercher des robes ! Mêmes pas fatiguées ! En tout cas s'était un super moment entre filles avec elle !

Sunday 24^th of August

Long sleep again ! After a short shower, we went doing Delaney's ice bucket challenge ! We watched Scooby doo and we ate. At 1pm, Tessje, Kendall and Viviane (the mom) came to bring me to the mall because today is SHOPPING DAY !

We stopped by Wendy's to by something to drink and we continued our way to Fort Wayne (40 min by car).

In the mall, first shop :rue 21 (I love it !) where I did my first purchase: a top for 3$ !! It's so inexpensive ! Second shop forever 21, and here.. I bought for 40$.. And with that I bought: 1 dress, 1 skirt, 2 jeans ! I live america !

Another stop to macy's, H&M, American Eagle, target, and a sport shop because I needed shoes (I made a hole in mines, I don't know how !). I discovered Kendall's passion: underwears ! She loves that !

 We went to a homecoming dresses's shop but we didn't find anything. The homecoming is an american tradition, at the beginning of the year, we go to see an american football game and after there is a party and you have to wear a beautiful dress, to go with a date...I'm really exited to try it !

We were all very tired by this shopping day but when we came back, I had to do the ice bucket challenge because Sydney nominated me... It woke me up ! Then I did my diary, we ate and sleep.

Saturday 23^rd of August

 

Teri Dad, a real american man !

Big sleep ! (not really in fact, I'm still not use to the light in the room)

Then we cleaned all the house, the windows, the room... Then I did researches because I need a new phone. I went to the meat store with Teri mom and for lunch we went to the cabin. When I was to the meatshop, Mason took my phone to take some selfies.. 338 in fact !

We ate american-healthy hamburgers (so good !!) and we swam.

Then we decided to go with the boat (we have to raw) on the river. It began very bad: we rushed on a tree and all the spiders on fell on me... I had like 3 spiders on me ! Me who hate that, it was just horrible ! Then we began to raw, (with all the water-spiders!). We we were tired we decided to come back, but the boat stopped because there was not enough water. So with Delaney we had to walk on the river and carry the boat. It was an unforgettable adventure !

 We swam a little bit more and we came back home. Around 1 hour after, we left to go to Donna's house. We had dinner there and we went to a street dance. There was a band who was playing in the street and the people danced... It was very funny even if I didn't know the songs ! (it was all old rock songs so I have an excuse !)

I played with their cousins, we watched the football game and around midnight we came back home to sleep.
