Monday November 3^rd

Return to school! But not too bad because we had one hour more to sleep! 25/25 at my spanish test! Coaches weren't really happy about practice because the team didn't play amazing but I was proud of myself because I played a lot better than last time!

Sunday November 2^nd

Teri mom came pick me up at 11.30 and we had lunch. Then I skyped with Sara a bit and after that, the serious part of the day began. We had to rake all the leaves outside the house..and as they have a really big field it took a while! 2 hours exactly! At the end we just jumped in the piles, playing with the leaves...It would be an annoying job to do alone, but when you do it with your siblings, that there's sun and everything is beautiful in fall's colors..you only can have fun! We also took down halloween decorations. Then Teri mom and Teri dad came back from the grocery store with a bunch of food and we helped them to unload it. And guess what they found for me... SWISS FONDUE!!!
I LOVE MY HOST PARENTS!!! We then started a fire outside. We cooked hotdogs and for the first time I ate smores! It's melty mashmallows in crackers with chocolate...YUMMY! I LOVED IT! We talked a long time around the fire.. it was an amazing familial moment !!

Saturday November 1^st

I had to wake up early again because for basketball, we also have practice in the morning.. (yeah...). Hopefully it was only 1 hour. The coaches were trying to decide who was going to be in JV and Varsity. For T and I, it was really clear that we were gonna be in JV as we had never played so while they were scrimmaging, we shot and did some practical exercises by our own. Then after 1 hour, when the practice ended, we left for Laser Tag (we call it Laser game). It was kind of a trip for all the basketball team (the girl one). We went to the one in FortWayne. We decided to separate in 3 teams, Freshmen & Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors, and coaches. We had to touch the players of the 2 other teams and destroy their bases for an extra 2001 points. It was only the second time I've done it but I really enjoyed it! I'm always in my own little world while I'm playing, exited...

And my team won! Then we decided to do another game, this time everybody against each other. I spent half of my time shooting the same base without knowing that I already shot it(so it couldn't work). Result: 13 on 16.. not very good! After we came back to the school, I left to Maddy's house with Jackie and we prepared to go....to BALL STATE UNIVERSITY! It's a pretty big university (22'000 students). We first stopped at FortWayne to eat and when I came out of the car I just realized I forgot my bag...with my wallet inside! Hopefully Jackie had money to lend me. We went to Chipotle, a mexican restaurant where you can choose everything you want to put in your burritos or tacos. Then let's go to Ball State!!! We had 2 hours of car, but with T, me, Maddy and Jackie, it's impossible to be bored! We sang american rap songs, talked, danced...And 2 hours after... BALL STATE WAS HERE! AMERICAN UNIVERSITY ! It was exactly like in the movies: a huge campus (in fact it looked more like a small town than a campus), with walmart inside, shops, library, 2 fields and gym, swimming pool, restaurants... Buildings with students' apartments everywhere... AMAZING! I was really exited and so happy to discover all of that! We met Maddison Willard, Jackie and Maddy's friend who's studying there. She showed us her room (size of a car) with 2 beds, 2 desks and 1 sink. We also met her roommate, Erin who was really nice. They showed us the campus. Each building for a different career. Architecture building, Education, Business... At 6.40 we went to one of the gym to see Ball State Volleyball team playing a game. The gym was huge! It could hold 11'500 people! The players were so good! I was so jealous! The game was really tight, but they won at the 5^th set. Then we said goodbye to Maddison and we came back home. Before sleeping, I watched some episodes of Gossip Girl with Tereza (T). I already watched all the season but it's still so good to watch it again and again!

Friday October 31^st

HALLOWEEN DAY ! First amazing new was today, when I woke up... Delaney told me that I talked while I was sleeping... in english! Which means that I WAS DREAMING IN ENGLISH! Everybody says that when we dream in another language than our first one, it means that we speak it good enough...VICTORY !!!

I played during all the practice today, in defense and I did really well ! When it is like this, I want to continue basketball... Practice after school was cancelled so we had free time for once! Tereza came at my house, we changed and then let's go Trick or Treating ! I was a ghost (scream) and Tereza a chicken. Delaney came with us as a zebra. We went first to a place where everybody has candy in their trucks and you just go from one to another one, asking “Trick or Treat” and receiving candy! Then we walked back home because we only had 20 minutes to do it before leaving for the football game. We stopped in front of every house with a light on the porch (it means they will give you candy). And in 20 minutes we stopped a lot and had many candy ! At the moment when Maddy came to pick us up, this magic thing happened..IT SNOWED ! For like 1 minutes but it still snowed ! (So yes it was really cold). Then we left to the football game. It was freezing ! 3 degree Celcius with wind ! Unfortunately we lost the game by 3 points. It was our last football game which make me sad because I just loved this sport, the atmosphere at the games and the fact that I always made new friends at the games. I WILL MISS FOOTBALL SO MUCH !!! I'm actually not joking. It broke my heart to realize I wouldn't live that anymore...

Thursday October 30^th

Important events of the day: I played for the first time when we were playing 2 teams this morning at practice and they told me I did good ! (even if I only played 3 minutes). Other fact, I payed for my graduation so now I just have to wait but it's sure! And on the evening, we carved pumpkins for halloween! AMERICAN TRADITION ! I was really exited to try this thing that they only do here. Everybody did super heroes but for my first (and maybe last) pumpkin I wanted a traditional one. Just a face! It was easier than what I thought but so cool to do ! Almost too short! It was very cold when we had to put our hands inside and empty it! And today... 3 MONTHS !!!

Wednesday October 29^th

I returned to basketball (bball) conditioning this morning at 7am. I was kind of afraid to be sick again if I ran a lot but finally I felt really good and we didn't even run ! We went through some rotations, offense and defense. I start to understand what we are doing so it helps to feel better via this sport. Normal classes, I revealed to Hollabaugh how much I spent the last month (it's a lot but firstly to pay the different trips) so I decided that I was a shopping addict and that he was gonna take care of me, via a therapy. As he repeated all day “the first day of the cure is to recognize that you have a problem”... This funny teacher in philosopher...sorry but I couldn't take it seriously!

The english teacher was also very impressed when I was the only one in the whole class who could answer this question : “to sleep” is in which tense? It's like the first thing we learned! Infinitive ! But maybe it was not what they learned...

At bball practice, we continue to work on different attacks, and I honestly could remember pretty quickly and when we were just going through I was good! But when we had some players, defending around us, we had to adapt ourselves to thee game...I was lost! And I still don't know what I want to do! Later on the afternoon, I finally finished my order for the graduation!

I ORDERED MY OFFICIALS CAP AND “DRESS”! Plus a bag, t shirt and cup.

I'm SO HAPPY ! Even if it's in 7 months, I can't wait to be at graduation !

Tuesday October 28^th

I spent a horrible night... Woke up in the middle of the night, I couldn't sleep anymore. I felt really bad, my stomach hurt. I threw up twice and then I had to wake up Teri mom and she gave me a medicine. Then I could sleep again. On the morning, I still didn't feel really good so I decided to stay at home. As always, there were a lot of little kids in here! 6! I played with them, read my english book (finished it!) and began my second book report. When Delaney and Mason came back from school, we played a bit soccer outside but I wasn't in the perfect mood for that and the fact that they pick on me just didn't help. So after a little moment I came back home to finish my book report. On the evening, we watched the new “Wolverine”.
