Monday March 29th
In the morning, we decided to all go get a pedicure. I had a nice, pretty asiatic boy who did my nails...I love pedicure, it's so relaxing! The best part is their massaging chairs...
After that, we went to Dick's Pawn, a store where you could buy used stuffs, all kind! Jewelry, instruments, tools...arms! Anyone could just come, buy an arm and kill someone in the next 5 minutes! That's crazy! You would never be able to do something like this in Europe!
We went to another outlet mall, where I bought an elegant blue dress for my graduation. Oh, and I found the best deal ever: 2 pairs of shoes for 27$!
For dinner, we stopped at Logan's Roadhouse. I discovered something weird: there, we got some free peanuts, but people just threw the shells on the floor!
I also had the best idea ever this night; while we were in the hot tub, I asked them if they wanted to come with me jumped in the ocean...so we ran in the cold night and jumped in this ocean that was something like 5 degrees! An awesome memory!

Saturday March 28th
After a nice breakfast, we were back on the road, for 4 more hours. We went through North Carolina and South Carolina, and I saw the landscapes changing. It started to look more as if I was in the south of France. We finally arrived at North Myrtle Beach, a very touristic sea resort by the ocean. By the beach, there are hundreds of condos, pretty much all the same. Ours, the Atlantic Breeze, is giant! And when I say on the beach, it means ON the beach! A little wood bridge and we are in the ocean! Our apartment, the penthouse, in on the roof. We have a kitchen, a living room, 3 rooms, 3 bathrooms and a private balcony for each room! It is amazing! It is a bit windy, so we couldn't swim, or lay on the beach. Instead, we went to an Irish pub to have dinner. We walked a bit on the beach on the way back, and then we watched the Notre Dame-Kentucky basketball game.

 Fire at the Butler Company

Friday March 27th
Finally time for Spring Break! I woke up, super excited, and finished to pack my little suitcase. After saying goodbye to my family I went to Bri's house where I met her mom, Charlene, Patty (her mom's friend), Matt (her son) and Evan (Bri's boyfriend I went skiing with).
The ride to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is super long...14 hours! I don't think I've ever driven for more than 4 hours, so I hope I won't be too annoying for the others in the car with me!
We left around 8am, drove down to Dayton, OH, Cincinnati, OH, stopped somewhere in Virginia to eat and went back on the road! We also passed through West Virginia, in the mountains/ big hills (size du Salève). Even if it looks a bit sad with all these trees without leaves, it's good to change a bit from the boring landscapes of Indiana!
After 5 hours, it started to be long, and we got tired of driving! We watched a movie, slept a bit...It's hard to really realize how big the distances are in America! Going through 4 states as we did today is about the same time as going to the south of Italy form Geneva (I think, I'm not really good for this kind of stuffs). It kind of looked like Switzerland in some places!
9 hours later, we finally arrived in Mount Airy, a little town in North Carolina. We visited a little bit, this town is mostly known because they filmed a TV show, Andy Griffth in the 1960's.
We ate at Ruby Tuesday, a very good little restaurant, and then went to our hotel.
We were all very tired after this long day of driving, so after talking a little bit, we went to bed pretty quickly.

Thursday March 26th
My last day before spring break! High jump practice was much better, and even if I still jumped badly, I did better than last time. Big event of the day, at 7pm, the Butler Company, an abandoned building in town, caught on fire. This couldn't be an accident, it is so pretty sure that someone started the fire!
We could see the smoke from the house, even if it happened on the other side of town!

Tuesday March 24th
I sucked at high jump. Again. I don't know why I'm not able to jump anymore, but it just doesn't work anymore!
And I have to run with distance everyday so I never have time to practice, which doesn't really help either...High jump is the event where I have the most fun, I don't wanna suck at it!

I don't remember if I already posted this picture...But as I'm getting really excited for graduation, I'll post it again!!!

Monday March 23rd
Oh well...Seems like my amazing spring days are definitively gone... Snow this morning, and during the entire day...:(
Because of the snow, we didn't run outside for track, so we only ran 35 minutes inside, which was pretty easy and nice. We are still doing our push ups “game”...today: 158 push ups! I never thought I would be able to say that, but I'm starting to be pretty good at it!

Wednesday March 18th
Guess who got her new Personal Record (PR) today? ME! We ran 3 times 1200m (3600m) during practice. The thing about 1200m is that, we don't jog the 3 laps, we run them fast. Not exactly sprint but pretty close. For 800m, I ran 3minutes 23seconds, and for the 1200m, 5minutes 15seconds. The fastest girl from last year hit 3.08 for the 800m. So I'm really close to beat her, and that with my shin splints and my ankle issue....and after running 2 other 1200! The coach said I could become their new best runner and that I was gonna do great things!
It kind sounds a little bit pretentious to say all that, but it's just that I worked really hard to get better at running, even if shin splints give me the impression that someone is searching with a knife into my calves and my ankles! So it was a beautiful reward to hear that!

Tuesday March 17th
I didn't run distance this practice, I went to try long jump and practice my high jump. However nothing went as I wanted...everyone already had the bases for long jump, and the coach wasn't very comprehensive, so I spent most of my time just watching them...Then when I was finally able to do it, I sucked. I did bad.
High jump wasn't better at all! It was really cold outside and windy, so I don't know if that and the fact that I jumped outside for the first time were against me, but I wasn't even able to jump 4'4''. 4 inches less than the meet and I just ran into the bar. It wasn't even jumping, it was ugly and disgusting to see.
I was really mad at myself and frustrated after that. At home, I tried to go see my friend Bri who had a car accident the day before, but she wasn't home, so instead, I played with the little Kitchens (neighbors).

PS: we heard this commercial with Teri mom while we were watching TV and we just died laughing! To absolutely watch! it is hilarious!

March 16th 2015
Spring weather today! It felt awesome: 20Celcius all day! However, during track practice, there was a little bit of wind, so still nice to run! After that, we got ready for the event I've been waiting for forever...the winter awards banquet. Officially closing the basketball season!
We all met in the cafeteria, still A LOT of food (I got to plates full!) and then the coaches gave their speeches. Conwell said that he was really proud of all the work our team accomplished, and he started giving awards. There were 3 awards: one for best teammate (bethany), one for getting after the ball (maddy) and one for most improved player. Usually there is only one player for every award, but this one, Conwell decided to give it to Tereza and I. He said that we were definitiely the most improved of the team, that we went from no knowing the difference between our right and left hand to be able to make baskets during a game...Finally he said that we both had one because we were a team inside the team, T and I, and we both deserved it. He said that even now that we are not playing basketball, he would still be here for us and hope to see us again! Conwell isn't a coach who shows a lot of emotions, so it felt so good to hear all that!
We then went in the hospitality room to finish our meeting. T and I made a video presentation about our season with this amazing team, and we showed it to the team. We even made CD to give them. It made me cry. Again. Just seeing all these moments I spent and saying thank you to these girls I will never play with again...
The seniors finally each gave a little speech that made us cry even more! Seeing our leaders talking and crying...it was definitively an emotional evening!
After that, I went outside to wait for Teri mom who was coming to pick me up. It was still warm outside (I was just wearing a skirt and I felt good), I was sitting alone in the parking lot, with this amazing sunset, and I don't know how to explain the feeling I had at this exact moment...I was just happy! I felt calm, and I realized that if someone asked me to change something in my life, I would probably not change anything! It sounds a bit stupid to say, but I LOVE MY LIFE AS IT IS!
To resume it, it was a perfect night.
Indiana is so beautiful...

Winter sports banquet...
Emma is such a sweetheart! i love her!

My little peach!

Part of my teammates... I love all of them so much!
